Celebrex

Celebrex is a type of drug used to treat the signs and symptoms of both osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis in adults. The drug has been linked to serious health injuries, including stomach bleeding, liver damage, heart problems, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, deadly drug interactions and more. Since August 3, 2005 Celebrex has been carrying the black label - the FDA's strongest warning, stating that Celebrex is harmful and that there are many potential health risks. Celebrex has been linked to at least 10 deaths, and many cases of hospitalization due to complications. Although Celebrex has not been pulled by the FDA as of yet, many experts in the industry wonder how long it will be. With the potential for serious complications, the sooner it is pulled, the lower the number of injuries and deaths may be.

Fast Facts

  • Individuals taking Celebrex daily were 2.5 times more likely to experience major heart conditions than those on a placebo.
  • At least 10 and possibly more individuals have died as a result of Celebrex.
