Medical Malpractice Insurers

The number of medical malpractice injuries is so shocking that most people can't believe they're true. From surgeons amputating the wrong limb, to thousands of patients picking up infections during a hospital stay, to thousands more whose illness is misdiagnosed, to delivery errors with newborns, the hospital isn't necessarily the safest place to be anymore. However, that is why health professionals and medical institutions are required to carry medical malpractice insurance. But that's also why many skilled professionals are leaving the medical field; insurance premiums are becoming literally unaffordable in some states. But that's not all, some medical malpractice insurers are dropping medical malpractice coverage because of the expense, the complications, and the instability. This is especially true in states that have not enacted a kind of tort reform, making it almost impossible for some medical professionals to obtain insurance at all.
