Report Medical Malpractice

A new study says that 96% of doctors believe they should report medical malpractice if they hear about it or see it, but they admit that less than half of them actually do report it. That means that many of the experts who can most quickly and accurately identify medical malpractice and could have an impact on deterring it, don't. The statistics are even worse for cardiologists and surgeons, with only 45% believing they should report medical malpractice. Since there are no laws requiring anyone to report medical malpractice, it's not a crime. For laymen, the only method of reporting medical malpractice is to contact a medical malpractice attorney and report your own case and pursue it in court, if possible. But less than 15% of all those who have suffered medical malpractice negligence contact a lawyer and file a malpractice claim.
